WHAT:
Dr. Avis' Beignets & Conversation (ABC) Tours will take place in Algiers this week. Families and community leaders are welcomed to join.
WHEN
Wednesday, September 7 • 5:30PM
WHERE:
NOLA-PS Central Office • 2401 Westbend Parkway, NOLA, 70114
WHY:
NOLA Public Schools' (NOLA-PS) Superintendent Dr. Avis Williams wants to speak directly to families and community leaders in our city. She's looking forward to engaging with them and digging deep to discuss some of the challenges our educational system is facing during her next ABC Tour session.
The twenty ABC Tour community engagement sessions will help inform Dr. Williams' 100 Day plan and how she leads the District. Community input is key in creating a comprehensive plan that centers around the superintendents' core values of equity, excellence, and joy, as well as District and board priorities. Dr. Williams will be asking our school family and the community some key questions about what they believe needs to stop, start, and continue within our school system.
A list of upcoming ABC Tour dates & locations will be listed here. Please check back regularly for updates.
Once the ABC Tour is complete, Dr. Williams will host 10 Solution Circles to identify some key issues and items that need to be worked on collaboratively, as well as implement problem solving solutions that will aid in resolving their root causes.
