NOLA-PS Superintendent Officially Kicks Off Transition Team Meetings
Meetings will help reimagine NOLA-PS' Strategic Plan.
(New Orleans – August 26, 2022) — NOLA Public Schools' (NOLA-PS) Superintendent, Dr. Avis Williams, officially kicked off her Transition Team meetings, Wednesday evening. The meetings are designed to gather feedback and work to reimagine the District's Strategic Plan by engaging community stakeholders, in collaboration with school leaders and district staff over the next couple of months.
"I'm excited we've kicked off this important work and would like to introduce our transition team members," said Dr. Williams. "They're a group of individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to public education that I believe will help enrich our District's ability to increase outcomes for our scholars, while positively engaging the community."
The list of transition team members is below. The sessions are being facilitated by Krystal Allen of K. Allen Consulting and will convene 6 times over the course of Fall 2022 and early Spring 2023. Samantha Pichon, NOLA-PS' Executive Director of Equity and Strategic Planning, is the district lead for this important work.
Below is a list of team members who have committed their time to this initiative, thus far. NOLA-PS is actively working to identify scholars and families to join the team.
