Dr. Kelli Jordan
Chief Schools and Accountability Officer
Dr. Kelli R. Jordan serves as Chief Schools and Accountability Officer (CSAO) at NOLA Public Schools, a role she stepped into in July 2026. In this cabinet-level position, she partners with the Superintendent to oversee four departments — Accountability, Portfolio Innovation, Data Systems & Solutions, and Systemwide Programming — guiding the systems that ensure academic quality, equitable access, and operational excellence across the district. With over 15 years leading in New Orleans public education, Dr. Jordan previously served as Chief of School Support and Improvement. In that role, she led the $10 million Thrive Kids Mental Health Partnership, developed the Attendance Hearing Office, and led Rounds 2 and 3 of the Systemwide Needs Program, disseminating more than $30 million to schools over six years. Prior to joining NOLA Public Schools in 2018, Dr. Jordan served in various capacities in school leadership and support roles for diverse learners. Dr. Jordan holds a Ph.D. in School Psychology and an M.S. in Applied Educational Psychology from the University of Tennessee, and a B.A. from Hampton University Dr. Jordan is published in peer-reviewed journals and presents on a variety of topics related to special education, trauma-informed practices and mental health across the country. She is a graduate of the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute (NORLI) (2023), The Forum for Educational Leadership, Cohort Two (2023), and is currently a member of Cohort One of Imagine Network, a program for innovation and strategy leaders in education.
